​植林したところでは、落ち葉の収集が可能となります。かつては半日や一日をかけて遠くまで足を伸ばさなければいけなかった仕事も短時間で済むように、時間を有効に使えるようになりました。女性たちはなによりこのことの恩恵を喜び感謝しています。
It becomes to possible to collect leaves in the planted area. Formerly that work needs half or one day to go far, and now women become to finish it in a short time and to use time effectively.
Cultivation between plantation area

​木が育つにつれて気温や保水など植林地の環境は安定してきて、また土壌も少しずつ改良されてきます。植林した間の土地では作物栽培などが可能となってきます。
As the trees grow, the environment of plantation area, weather and water retention, come to be stable and the soil condition has been gradually improved.  It becomes to be possible to cultivate in the afforestation area.
Protection of soil erosion

​ガンジス川の河岸や河口のデルタ地域では土壌の浸食が進んでおり、植林はこの浸食を防ぐ重要な役割を果たします。
The soil erosion is proceeding in the river side and delta area of Ganga. Afforestation fills an important role to prevent soil erosion.

​
日差しがとても強いので遮るものがない道はとてもつらいものです。道路沿いに植林していくことで歩くことがとても楽になります。

to walk comfortable.
